Accepting payments via Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay is a mobile payment system that can be used by owners of Samsung devices. Interaction with the Samsung Pay system is carried out through programming interface (API) of the payment gateway.

There are two ways to pay with Samsung Pay:

  • payments in Mobile App;
  • payment from the web page (the payment page is located on the side of the payment gateway);
  • payment from the web page (the payment page is on the merchant's side).

Detailed description

The following scenarios are supported when interacting with Samsung Pay.

  • Payments in Mobile App
  • Payment from the web page (payment page on the side of the payment gateway)
  • Payment from the web page (payment page on the merchant side)
  • Payment reversal
  • Refunds to the buyer

Below is a sequence of steps that will allow you to accept payments using Samsung Pay.

Steps 1–3 are necessary to enable payment via the mobile app.


1 Register on the Samsung Partner Portal.
2 In the personal account of the payment gateway create a key pair and export the Certificate Signing Request (CSR).
3 In the Samsung Partner Center, download the Certificate Signing Request exported previously.

Review the API interactions between a merchant and the payment gateway when making payments via Samsung Pay:

  • payments in Mobile App
  • payment on the site (payment page on the gateway side);
  • payment from the web page (payment page on the merchant side)
5 Modify and test your resource.



Registering with Samsung Pay

Before accepting payments via Samsung Pay, follow these steps.

These actions are necessary to enable payment via the mobile app. You do not need to take these steps to pay through the site.

Preliminary actions in the Samsung Pay system

  1. Create an account with Samsung: https://account.samsung.com..
  2. Using the created account, register on Samsung Pay website: https://pay.samsung.com/developers.
  3. On https://pay.samsung.com/developers website, create a Service and select RUNET BUSINESS SYSTEMS LLC as the Payment Gateway.
  4. Proceed to actions in the Payment Gateway Merchant Portal:
    • key pair creation;
    • export of a certificate signing request.
Key pair creation
  1. In the navigation panel of your personal account on the left, select Settings> Certificates (see image below).


  2. On the page that appears, select the Samsung Pay tab (see image below).


  3. In the Keys section click on the Create key pair button.
    Following window will be displayed.


  4. Fill in the fields using the table below.

    Use Latin characters when filling out the form.

    Field Description
    Merchant

    Select your merchant's login.

    Country

    Country. Enter the two-letter ISO code of the country where your organization is located.

    State Name

    State name. Enter state name where your organization is located.

    Locality name

    Locality name. Enter the name of the locality where your organization is located.

    Common Name

    Common name. Enter the full domain name of your site, for example, test.com.

    Organization Name

    Organization Name. Enter the name of your organization.

    Organization Unit

    Organization Unit. Enter the name of your organization unit.

  5. Click on the Create button.
    The generated certificate will be shown in the table.
Export of a certificate signing request
  1. To upload a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), on the tab Samsung Pay section Settings> Personal Certificates in the cabinet, mark the required certificate by clicking the mouse (see the image below).


  2. Click on the Download CSR button.
    Depending on your browser settings, the file may be saved to the default folder. Otherwise, there will be a window for selecting a folder to save.
  3. Specify the path to save the file and confirm saving.
Completion of the registration in the Samsung Pay system

In the personal account on the website https://pay.samsung.com/developers upload the certificate signing request as Merchant CSR (merchant certificate signing request).
